EDT
The ElastoDynamics Toolbox (EDT) provides an extensive set of MATLAB functions to model wave propagation in layered media. It is based on the direct stiffness method and the thin layer method, presented by Kausel and Roësset. The toolbox is developed at KU Leuven, where it is used both for educational purposes and in research projects. It is used to solve a variety of problems governed by wave propagation in the soil, such as site amplification, the computation of dispersive surface waves in layered soils, and the calculation of the forced response of the soil due to harmonic and transient loading.
MACEC
MACEC is a MATLAB toolbox for modal analysis of structures. It is a powerful tool that enables you to extract eigenfrequencies, damping ratios, mode shapes, and modal scaling factors from measured input-output or output-only vibration data. MACEC provides extensive functionalities for the visualization and processing of the measured data, the identification of system models and the determination and visualization of the structure's modal parameters. The program disposes of a graphical user interface (GUI), what makes it very intuitive and easy to handle. It can also be used without the GUI, as an extensive set of individual MATLAB functions.
